So now that longride is off for a while Sean is going to keep the old pot stirred.

Good job.

Homeless?

Dunno Don. Do the homeless fellers in your neck of the woods typically sport a grand or two of leather?
Personally, I'm looking forward to the event. I'm not your typical fringe/armchap-clad Harley rider however I'm planning to make the ride from San Diego to Milwaukee and back.

I figure it's a once-in-a-lifetime event since I don't plan on being around for the 200th!
Why is it that Don doesn't know they're from their? You might want to consider putting a question mark at the end of your questions as well.

Nice troll Einstein.
Said he was going on business or something. Personally I think he's actually riding with the Highwayman.

But don't quote me.
Re: Earth to H-D . . .

Back in the 70s and 80s there was a lesbian m/c gang that I used to see around Hollywood a lot. All done up butch and riding black/red Honda DOHC CB750Fs.

Go figure.
What? No truck? ;) Too bad you cant take the duc to Denver than switch to the Glide for the long flat straight ride on in.
Maybe I could tow the Duc with the Geezer Glide! The Duc has been on plenty of road trips so the Glide deserves a good thrashing.

A lot of people are riding to this event (I'm sure there will be plenty of trailers) and I'm really looking forward to being out on the open road and experiencing thousands of Harleys all converging on Milwaukee.
Sounds like a mighty fine plan. Just be careful with that thrashing not to start any forest fires when the sparks start flying off the floorboards! ;)
Is that riding with the Highwayman or just riding him? (Just kidding).
It's because they spent all their money on chrome for their bike. :) Actually, in my neck of the woods (Seattle) H-D owners are usually are dressed up in the best HD gear and live in upscale neighborhoods. Do I sound jealous. Wish I had their disposable income but not their bike.
Make sure to bypass Colorado cause your HD can't make it over the Mountains

Better take I-80 Buz. I-70 is hard on aircooled Harleys.
Re: Make sure to bypass Colorado cause your HD can't make it over the Mountains

Imagine what it would do to your gutless 600 fully loaded for a 2300 mile trip.
Re: Make sure to bypass Colorado cause your HD can't make it over the Mountains

Right you are how in the world can I keep my revs between 9000 and 14000 over Vail Pass or through the Eisenhower tunnel MO had a similar problem in California click here

Well take that "sport-touring" Ninja, pack it with a passenger and enough gear for a trip to say, Boston, and we'll race. My Electra glide against the Ninja.

If you're not divorced at the end it will be a miracle. ;-)

Remember the story about the Tortoise and the Hare?
"The modern Harleyite is nowhere without a full array of black leather Motor Clothes and Genuine H-D Accessories to get the full effect. "

God, how I love being nowhwere! I'd have to say that's exactly where I'm headed every time I throw a leg over a bike. Hands down worlds best motorcycle destination!
Re: Make sure to bypass Colorado cause your HD can't make it over the Mountains

I rode over 1000 miles in two days on my YZF600R with the wife onboard. This was with packed soft luggage and the majority of it was in the rain. She was a pretty good sport about it. At least we had proper gear.
