Re: Show me

Stop now. He's got you going. And you were doing so well for so long. He knows he's lying about everything. He doesn't care. He's a psycho. He's a moveon.org operative. His phony "I'm a McInsane Republican" mantra doesn't fool anyone. Everything he says is right off the Democrat National Committee's and Moveon's websites which proves that he's never had an original thought in his life.

You're only arguing with an unresponsive robotic machine. No matter what you say you will only get the prescribed talking points he's received from his cell leader. And frankly, anyone who thinks Bush is worse than, say, Fidel Castro or Kim Jong-il or Osama bin Laden -as the Kooks of the world obviously do - is dangerously cracked in the head.

Have a Heinecken. Turn on MXC and chill out.

Re: Whitewater, Monica vs. Iraq, AWOL, CIA

With our new fascist Patriot Acts, that the democrats (protectors of the Peeeeeple, ha!) enthusiatically voted for, the answer must be scrag. Not frag. Don't dare say the wrong thing these days.

This is a surprise?

Rule A: The first purpose of the Police/Justice function is to protect the government from the people. It only protects the people from criminals if such protection doesn't intefere with Rule A.

Exception: If a govt official commits a serious crime it will ony be prosecuted if it gets major press. Otherwise is will be covered up.

The only reason Janklow was prosecuted at all was because it got press. Even then it was merely a predetermined show trial/ sentence recommendation. If there had been no press there would have been no criminal charges. You can take that to the bank.

Here in Utah we recently had a scandal of public officials stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of gasoline and illegally using fleet vehicles for personal use. No prosecutions have occurred at all, even though there was some press. Embezzlement isn't a serious enough crime to bring prosecution against these specially priveleged "public servants."

Doesn't that term, public servant, just make your skin crawl? Servants, indeed. We are their tax slaves.

Yes and they "devote their lives" to public service. As if any of them were bright enough to earn a six figure salary in the private economy.

I suppose we'd be paying for them either way. If they weren't in office they'd be on the welfare roles.

Re: Stricken from the record

My dog took a nip at my father, causing him to flinch and hit his hand on a wall-hanging nail. He went to the hospital to get the wound cleaned and stitched. The guy is a retired physician and over-reacts to everything. I've nicked myself worse shaving. While at the hospital the story got changed, through a little embellishment from an 85-year-old chatterbox, that a dog had bitten him. Not quite the truth but I ended up in court because my dog’s rabies vaccination had lapsed the week of the incident. The dog had since then been revaccinated. The incident was reported by the hospital to the health department and animal control as a dog biting by an unvaccinated dog. I had to go to court and pay a fine. Five years later I checked to see if that "crime" was still listed on the books and, sure enough, it was. I called the District Court to see about having that removed from my record and was told that it could not be expunged. I had been convicted of a crime and would have to have a governor's pardon to get that removed from my record. And Janklow will have this stricken from his record.

Re: Whitewater, Monica vs. Iraq, AWOL, CIA

I agree politicians scrag them all - but comparing Serbia to Iraq is non-sensical in the highest.

The US was in Serbia cuz NATO asked us and all of Europe wanted NATO there to stop the Serbian army from building on ethnic cleansing with a land grab and removing the local Muslims, Armenians and Croats.

Bush was caught in a lie when he said that Iraq tried to buy Uranium in Africa. This was proved by US intelligence to be false. Cheney lied when he said that the terrorists met with Iraqi intelligence in Czech.

We go to Iraq because there was supposed to be WMD, Terrorist connections, and they were 45 minutes from reconstituting their nukes. All total bull shyte. If there are any WMD's in Iraq, they likely came from the US when we were po'd at Iran in the 80's and decided that arming Saddam was a good thing. Maybe there are some weapons buried somewhere, but it's highly unlikely anything is usable so no real threat existed from Iraq. The larger threat in the Middle East is from Saudi Arabia where most of the damn terrorists came from in the first place - and oh, yeah - some guy named Bin Laden. Bush finally caught him right?

Kerry was a sap for believing any of this horse hockie as well as anyone who watches Fox news and believes anything Bill O'Reilly says.

Right now the only ones benefiting in Iraq are the insurgents, the US contracting companies and the Oil industry. The fact that Kerry isn't trouncing Bush in the polls shows what a numb nuts he is. Which is worse - Iraq or Vietnam? Of course Nam is worse by about 49,300 soldiers, but Iraq is gaining ground every day. Do you feel safer from terrorists because we blew up half of Iraq? I'm sure their completely gone and haven't been encouraged to sign up in record numbers to bet their bachelors degrees in Terrorism.

Ohhh Pleeease...

Oohhh.. so only "hicks" let this sort of thing go. Thanks for letting us know that. It's nice to know that the sophisticated and educated police departments of LA, NY, Chicago and San Fran are well above this sort of boorish and rednecky behavior. There certainly isn't any history of corruption in these places.... perish the thought...

Give me a break... This crap goes on everywhere. Being from the "big city" and not having an accent has nothing to do with being intimidated by what was one of the most powerful men in the state. These guys have to feed their families like everyone else. You don't seriously mean to suggest that only small rural states have crooked politicians do you.

Re: Bush-Republican-Janklow

My God, can you freaks not leave crazy accusations against Bush out of anything. Bush didn't lie about jack, and there's proof of that all over the place if you were interested in the truth.
