I have a 2002 Honda cbr600f4i that hasn't been touched in awhile I just bought a new battery and put that in and my headlights work but the bike wont turn on and neither will the dash so I think it's a blown main fuse or bad ignition switch connection and i think i found the main fuse and im not exactly sure what its supposed to look like but something just looks wrong I dont really know much about bikes I just have 2 years of car mechanics ive done so im not really sure what to do how to test it what im suppose to test and where to go from here if anyone could help

There are a ton of videos out there on how to check a fuse. Make sure you test your multimeter in the ohms/resistance setting before you put it on the fuse. A lot of of my cheap $15 multimeters suddenly go defective within a year or two after I buy them.
For a clear plastic body fuse that you can look through I think a visual inspection is sufficient --- but only if you have good lighting preferably backlighting.
And of course the fuse has to come out out of it slot and it has to be clean for you to inspect it.
