i would just like to know why the zx9r wasn't included. its stock horsepower is just as much as the 954 but with 54 less cc's. with the $1100 dollars you save on the 9r you could easily drop 20 or more pounds, add an extra 7 or so horsepower and have money to spare. You would also have a comfortable bike. And if you REALLY wanted to level the field. add a 98 cc MUZZYS big bore kit and you will smoke em all. By the way I own a '02 9r and the 954's and R1's still cant hang light to light!!!!!

What have you guys done to Burns -- "Enough is enough"!?!? The GSXR is the lightest and has the most hp, but from the teases, you all seem to think its between the R1 and the RR? My guess is that on the street GSXR will quite a bit ahead on raw performance especially at ram air speeds (if not for the dang limiter, it'd be *way* ahead on top speed). Things will probably be close on the track and come down to riding style/experience. Will the zen "feel" of the other bikes prevail? How can easiest to ride or nifty ergonomics win an open class comparo? These things are all about flash and dash! The R1 does win the good looking race though, with the GSXR 2nd, and the RR being about as sexy as Tipper Gore. I'll be curious to see the final results, but I'm crafting my scathing "your skirt has flapped around your head" or "your stoopid" comments in advance...
