Send one of the girls, after all, Burns thinks that 60hp is enough in a 700lb BMW....Ah, just kidding, have fun in Spain! Ya know, I hear in Spain you can't get Spanish food. They just call it food...
Which is a different bike. So what if it uses the same technology, that extra 400cc's of the R1 would give different characteristics. Lots of low-end torque versus a peaky motor... Or maybe you've already written the test report and you are just going to Spain to provide the photos for the article. Hey if the weather changes on you, just do a find and replace in Word and substitute in wet for dry, cold for hot...Look, of course I'm not being serious but you really shouldn't come to any conclusions on how a machine works w/o actually riding it.
www.motogp.com has a video/sound clip on testing of the new Ducati GP bike. I know what you mean about the sound! Like doom. Also it's fun to say "desmodici" and "testastretta"
Looks like have a bunch of unpaid experts. It's not going to be that much different. Give these guys a break. If you know anything you should know that with the smaller displacement it's going to be even smoother than the R1. I like the articles these guys write.

The shorter duration higher lift cams and FI should allow more top end with much improved midrange hp and response. Also the exhausts now contains a catalyzer which limits hp. It should gain 3 or 4 hp once the can is replace.
Beautiful Glad to see no racer boy graphics. The best buy in motorcycles (600s) gets
... better. Love to see the way Kawasaki and Yamaha are bringing out bikes with no graphic decals. If the bike is well designed it will look good with out the gimics and stripes.
OK, why do the UK sites (including yamaha-motor.co.uk) say the thing makes 123 HP @ 13000 with ram air? Does that mean they're guessing/exaggerating the effect of ram air at speed, and the number in the article is the actual crank HP figure?
