Is the GSX-R 750 enough?
Enough for what? 10.36 in the quarter-mile at 137mph according to sportrider. I certainly would wonder... what on earth someone had in mind that this would not be enough for.0-60 in 3.67 seconds...
Apparently... if you're looking to pull your arms out of socket... it will do that too.

No, I am still tossing around the idea of a second bike, although my financial situation is not going to allow it for a bit.
I would hardly call the Gold Wing a boring bike. You obviously have never ridden one.

I'm still trying to figure out just where in S. Florida anyone is going to use the top speed of either bike. So, a CBR is what, 15mph faster than the GSXR? What difference does it make on public roads? Does he desire to be frog marched to jail instead of merely handcuffed? Is that it?

He needs Burger Barn proof he's got an ass kickin bike. How else can he impress the locals if he doesn't have a "Shootout Winner"? Why would anyone choose either of those 2 for an urban assault machine?

I had ONE experience with a Buell and it was enough to last a lifetime!
To each their own, but I rate Buells right up there with Chrysler and Ford. Good try, but a little short compared to other makes.
Beside, the thought of paying 10 large for 1950's state of the art engine technology doesn't make sense to me.

if ya lived in West Virginia... Virginia... Or east TN... I could see picking one of those.
Around Mt Storm in WV... man... A 929 or an Mille R is just the ticket...
But for city drivin? Umm.. That's why God invented the 919.

How about a Ducati Monster? They seem to be designed as "city bikes" that look cool and are easy to ride in traffic (the air-cooled ones). My S4R is a bit extreme for riding around town, but a 620, 800, or 1000 air-cooled Monster might be just the ticket.

What was wrong with the FZ1? Seems like that would have been a pretty good choice. Lots of power, handling that's more than equal to the demands of the local roads. Livable ergos. Why a full on race rep instead of that?

If you don't have twisty roads to ride on you should get an old Cadillac. You'll blend in well with other Florida residents and you can run into things without worry. The slow laid-back ride is perfect for making things such as a trip to the grocery store an all day affair. You can hold up traffic and leave your left-hand blinker on for miles. Yes sir, if you're looking for distinction and cool, look no further.

I have one word for you: Tuono. I'm biased of course, but I LOVE mine! All the performance of my old tricked out RC51, none of the discomfort. The upright seating position and mirrors that actually work makes lane changes, scanning for popo, etc. much easier, too.
