Alright guys...

Getting ready to purchase a 2004 R1.

I've read all over the place that the under-seat exhaust makes for a toasty ride, especially during the warm months. I'd like to know what my options are for reducing this issue.

I know about the exhaust wraps where you actually wrap the pipes in kind of a heat-sheild tape, but this would look pretty crappy, I think.

What I am wondering is if a product such as this...

could be trimmed to the proper shape/size, then applied with the prescibed adhesive to either the underside of the seats, or the portion of the body where the seats lie.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yep that type of thing should help some!

probably only really heats up at real slow 25 mph speeds though.
