Re: Actually

-Presidents can't wage war. Congress does.

-Companies outsource, not governments.

-Most soldiers and reservists support the their role in Iraq.

-Creating a whole new branch of homeland security and increasing already existing measures of homeland security costs money. (Unless car bombings and airplanes flown into buildings is something voters want).

-Presidents inherit economies, they rarely have much affect on them one way or the other.

-Electorial college means very few people's presidential vote counts.

-The President is the least important person you are voting for today.

-Both choices suck.

-This is a motorcycle site.

Re: Actually

Well when I was in college and had to take Pol Sci 101 we were told that most "educated" people start out democrat because they are for social reform, but as they get out into the real world working 60 hours a week, making 60 grand or more a year they get tired of paying for all of those social reforms for people who didn't plan and work near as hard as they did and are doing.

Of course the number one determining factor in how a person votes or what religion they are for that matter, is what their parents are.

Re: Actually

I will vote for which ever candidate can get motorcycle manufactures to make non-cruiser motorcycles for people with 30in and under inseams that aren't beginners bikes. How do all of those short Japanese folks ride their own stuff on the street?

Re: Politics, Governments, and Economics for Dummies and San DeeEggo grads.

9/11 hurt the economy not congress, not the president, not the tooth fairy. Americans stopped spending as much money, the economy slowed down, period. No candidate real or fictional can change that.

All your anti-bush proganda can be countered with Kerry's wishywashy record. They are both shyty choices, period.

President can claim anything they want, but they still have to convince congress, who you elected through popular vote. Tax policy aren't even a drop in the bucket to prevent outsourcing. American workers are just plain expensive to our third world neighbors. Kerry and no other Presidential candidate is even going to put a dent in it. Tax cut to the rich, hmmm, let me think, uh they have most of the money let try and get them to spend it and stimulate the economy. No President since FDR has had anything like 9/11 happen to them. Not just the economy everything came to a grinding halt for awhile and is very slowly picking back up. Just go back and look at the Dow Jones. No Presidential candidate could have done anything differently to change it. Clinton had a great economy to work with, through no fault of his own, Bush has a crappy one. Yes this war isn't helping and it isn't really about freeing Iraqis, please look at what goes on in China and other countries that we don't invade.

I don't support anyone, but I get tired of the regurgitated politcal propaganda that you and others spew forth. People getting all worked up on the one election where your vote really doesn't matter that much, if at all (I live in Indiana, my vote doesn't not count), the person elected can't and won't change much about the day to day operations of the country. If you want to see change be much more active in your local and state government and with your US senators and representatives.

I knew you would use exactly the arguements that you did. Absolutely no surprise or anything I haven't thought about. Just read one biased paper or another. Watch one 30 second sound bite on the news or another. Read one biased website or another. We have no idea, and neither does the media about what really happens or why leaders make the decisions they do so don't think these website you post links to are actually informing you or anyone else to anything than selling their agenda, however camoflauged it might be. Plus to be honest, the people elected to high offices usually aren't smart enough to figure out real solution to problem and are so entangled with campaign promises and backroom deals they can't do what really needs to be done. American voters always want what is best for them or at least how they like and not what is best for the whole. And that my friend is the real reason things are the way they are.

Believing you vote or you candidate is going to change everything for the better, even in a small way is like thinking it was Santa Claus that put presents under the tree and not your hard working parernts who had to put that shiny new bike on lay-away for half the year just to see the expression on your face when you opened it.

Re: Actually

I went to nerd central Purdue University. My roommates my Jr. year were all engineers and two of them were their class validictorians. They drank and partied plenty while maintaining their 3.9 and 4.0 GPA's. So don't give me this UW college students are the cream of the crop all serious dedicated to the greater good crap. You've got blinders on if that is what you're seeing!

Re: I'm an Independent...

I agree Bush is obviously not the brightest. He generally a crappy leader. The war is a joke with a body bag and billions of dollars punchline. But, if congress didn't approve funding we wouldn't still be over there. All over our representatives and senators have to take all the same blame. One man didn't do and isn't continuing all of this alone. It is called checks and balances.

Re: Economics for idiots

Wow look who is getting pissy. Aren't you the first to start whinning when other are making fun of you and calling you names.

You're right federal reserve and government, not a lone President, shmuck. You have a reading comprehension problem, I'm also a teacher so I recognize the signs, you don't fully read what people write, mis their main points and focus on one small detail that is usually irrelevant.

Do you really think that if government could control the economy and there was a set formula for success then we would never have economic down turns. You look things up and get all these statistics and totally miss common sense. This is a trait I have found in many engineers. (No disrespect the engineers out there, but kpaul seems to be an example of the type that can only see the little piece of the problem that they are assigned to work on).

Clinton had times of high consumer confidence and cut military spending hugely. That isn't great leadership, or ingenuity. He gets credit for a great economy but didn't real have anything to do with it. Presidents can sign bills or veto bills, thats it. Did you have government class in high school?

I don't have to look anything up. Your points aren't very insightful. You use big important sound words without looking the basics. This is big red flag for a fast talker who really doesn't know what they are talking about. You missed, totally, my main point in my first post:

-The President doesn't change much in the country.

-Propaganda makes getting facts impossible.

-Electorial college make the vast majority of our votes not count.

-The Presidential election is the least important election happening today(refer to my first point).

-The candidates suck, both of them, so getting worked up over either one is like arguing over whether it is better to drink a cup of your own ***** or a friends.

-This site is about motorcycles

Oh and a new one:

- you don't know more than anyone else on this site or have access to special information the rest of us don't. Quit passing off your views as facts. Acceleration of gravity =9.8 m/s^2 is a fact. Bush f*cking up the economy is a political view. Kind of like cruisers being better than sportbike is opinion.

P.S. I did go to Purdue. I have science degree. It gets me jobs. Purdue engineering, pharmacy, and veterinary schools are among the most respected in the world so say whatever you want about me, but you would have gotten weeded out from the start of freshman engineering. Look it up.

Re: Actually

Any university can post good grades, dumb down the curriculum.

Re: Economics for idiots and those who teach

Okay here we go again, shmuck. Are you saying that Bush is so "smart" he duped the house and senate. He can do whatever he wants, how ever he wants, whenever he wants with the whole country? Again it's your reading comprehension and retention learning disabilty. I think Bush sucks, Kerry is a, change my line to suit the occassion, liar. Yes I could direct you to website that not only show you how much he controdicts himself, but actually have recordings of him doing so. I've had it emailed to me several times. I have heard Kerry in his on voice support the war I have heard him in his on voice oppose the war. You don't have evidence, you have websites with quotes and statistic taken by people with agendas. Have you ever tried just thinking for your self with common sense.

Keeping in mind you started it, what is with the look here idiot thing. You say stupid shyt all of the time. Then you have people with real world experience, particularly with motorcycles since this IS after all a motorcycle website, tell you that you are wrong and you refer them to and issue of Sportrider or something. Get off the net get your nose out of the book and live life. Statistics and evidence change all or the time. Just look at the Atkins diet. Tons of "scientific" evidence saying taking out carbs lowers fat production. I lost 40lbs on the Atkins, here's my results. Anyone who has taken a basic physiology course or even those who used common sense could have told you what they are finding out now. All that protein and fats is too hard on your kidneys, liver, and circulatory system. But Atkins, who was grossly over-weight himself had an agenda, to make money, so he got himself some scientific evidence and made himself and dependants quite a chunk of changes.

I'm done with you because you don't listen. I don't support Bush, Kerry is a joke. Checks and Balances, look it up idiot. I suggest a middle school social studies book.

Re: Checks and Balances

Did you believe Bush and his reports saying there were WMD that we just jadn't found in ten years? I didn't. Congress should be able see the B.S. like anyone else. They produce so much of it.

Re: If KPaul had been Smart...

Bush would be a boss hoss. Grossly excessive, can't change direction, screaming ******* let loose.

Kerry would be the highest revving, twitchy 600 supersport. It winds high and loud and changes direction with less than a thought, tries to pass of as good at any type of riding, track, street, touring, but really isn't.

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Re: Congratulations Bush fans... Buz, LongNazi Stumbler etc.

Jackass, get help for your learning disability. I at no point and never will say that I support, vote, like, want to share a cup of coffee with Bush. He has been mediocre at everything he has done in his life. He ran up a huge deficit in TX too. The war is a costly farce. It's people like you who get all worked up over two crappy choices I can't stand. Especially when it's the wrong election you're getting worked up over. Man you are thick.
