Re: AUTO TRANS IN THE TWISTIES?

The big Burg 650 has a manual mode you can choose, and gives you plenty of control in the twisties.
The Burg 400 feels like a Cadillac next to your DR650. I'm not knocking your DR, they're cool too, just a lot different.
Another excellent big scooter is the Kymco Xciting 500, and it's only a hundred bucks more than the smaller Burgie.

Re: Displacement ain't everything...

Uh, yes Gabe. I know. I've ridden both the Suzi 400 and the Kymco 500 and they are close, but I prefer the big Kym.
Re: AUTO TRANS IN THE TWISTIES?

Last I heard it does.
Ofreen, as a scooter and motorcycle enthusiast I can tell you that all of my scooter budies spend a lot of time on scooter and motorcycle related sites and read scooter/motorcycle magazines. Also, most of the scooter guys I know are like me, in that they own and ride motorcycles too, so that would explain it.

BTW, my kitted to the max 4 speed Stella aint no dumbed down transportation device. It's actually a bad a$$ hooligan machine that is a blast and a challenge to ride well.
Ofreen, I see your point, but the larger maxi scooters are hardly what I'd call a snooze.
