If the brakes are the weakest link, a quick trip to SVRacingParts.com will fix it. They have a caliper adapter kit to mount Flea-Bay 4-pot Nissins or Tokicos. And a radial-mount master cylinder too, if you want to go that far. It made the Vee's brakes an order of magnitude better for under $300.
