I once toured all the states West of the Rockies on a Suzuki 500. I had my wife, a pup tent, one burner stove and a couple of sleeping bags that zipped together on the back. We felt we were quite the adventurers. We met a somewhat younger couple on a BMW doing much the same thing somewhere in Colorado. I asked them where they lived. The wife pointed to the motorcycle. There must be something about that boxer engines that makes people crazy.

Re: But then there were the guys on the Big Dogs...

I want to hear the story about the guys who trailered their Big Dogs 45,000 miles around the country to Sturgis, Daytona, Laconia, Lake George, and countless biker bars. They tell poignant tales of folks in little towns all across the country, some who had very little to call their own, who generously gave them S-100 and cans of Detail & Wax to help them complete their arduous journey.

Little trips can be great trips, too. Any trip is a great trip, as long as you spend a couple of nights somewhere you've never been before, and go down the tiniest roads on the map. You can do it, T'cub!

The guy was drugged, yeah right. He drank caipirinhas. The secret of that drink is that it contains no mixer. Zilch, zippo, nada. You have up to 50 % alc vol liberal amounts of booze mixed with some crushed limon, sugar and ice.

You drop couple of them and you don´t remember whether you are coming or going. Couple more and the more abstract concepts such as "your name" lose any meaning whatsoever.
