Better!

The 250 Rebel is a wobbly, slow, bike any person would tire of in a week. The Savage is actually a pretty solid little bike, especially for a smaller person with a short inseam. Toulouse-Lautrec could ride one.
The CB650 Honda is a nice bike. And the price is about right, maybe high a $100-300. But a clean running bike is worth a few 100.00 you could spend it easily on another one getting it right. These bikes are low, not too heavy, and fast enough. Sounds good to me.
My first bike was a 76 CB360T.

I agree that its a collectors bike, but if it runs well, its going to be a great first bike to learn on because of how simple it is.

These early honda's are tanks also, they just keep going and going and going.

IF its in amazing condition, don't use it as a beginners bike, but if its looking like an old bike, but still safe to ride, go for it.

Henri would not be caught alive on anything other than a Brutale.

Bravo. Those seem to be fun, light, and cheap to run. Don't forget the MSF course....Everyone should do one at least once.
I think they were 550's in '72, as I had a 1972 CB550Four. I always wondered about that.

What was the smallest four they made? Wasn't there a 360 or 350 four to go along with the 350 twin?
Was the 350 four...

That had a bad habit of the cam chain sawing the motor in half. I had one, what a stone. Looks like it had a 500 four lower end with little dinky jugs on top. Sold mine to some homeless guy who put a horse saddle on it, and some gigantic leather fringed handgrip protectors. He use to live in the LA river, and I guess one rainy season both he and the bike got washed out to sea. Maybe flounders are using it now as an artificial reef.
In the early 70s we would have said driving any beginner bike over
90cc was a ticket to the funeral home. How times change....
