the poor guy...he'll do much better next yr when the new rules take effect...hopefully ama will adopt those rules too...we'll see how fast ricky hayden really is when the other bikes have equal amounts of power...he is not going to have an escape route overseas...cause the 4 cylinder bikes are going to smoke the twins there too... i love the the look and the sound of the twins..but right now its just not fair...
It takes more than horsepower to go fast around the track. Why would anyone think that Honda won't make a new bike that will keep them competitive. Do you honestly think that the largest engine manufacture in the world is going to let suzuki or yamaha get ahead and stay ahead? Oh and by the way as far as horsepower goes the gixxer 750 puts out more hp than the rc51.
Wow, I hope Ben just missed a gear or something, but pretty impressed with Eric, he is the first 4-cylinder (there seems to be 2 races -- one for the twins and another for the fours).

I admit, I'm a big Bostrom fan - but never thought I'd see Eric outqualify Ben given the former's inexperience at Monza, on an outdated 4cyl. If we got both Nicky and Eric in SBK on competitive bikes next year...
The twins have the big advantage with their flat torque curve. the gixxer may have more top end hp but the rc51 can get out of the corners faster. It won't be fair until inline fours get bigger with the rule changes. But then the Twins will be crying foul and I am sure Ducati will either lobby for a rule change or use its V4 it is developing for motoGP.
