A new Fully Faired 650 Bandit?

It seems Suzuki is bringing a fully faired version of the Bandit to the U.S.

The stories (and images) that have been floating around the net seem to indicate that it will be the replacement for the extremely outdated and discontinued Katana.

From the Images that are attached it looks as though Suzuki decided to keep the same bars that appear on the standard Bandit and stayed away from any tip of clip-on action.

And in case anyone is worried; yes, Suzuki carried on it's excellence in out-dated color design.

Cool. It'd be nice if they lost the GS 550 from the line up, since it's about a thousand years old.

Looks a little too much like a GS500, which by the way is an excellent bike and the bike newbies should be required to ride for 2 years before they can get a bigger bike.

Looks like a pretty decent bike. Probably make a good beginner bike or commuter.

Yeah, you should look into this one if you're considering a new bike Schizuki. It's probably just your speed.

No, he has an older bandit 600, I was trying to rib him, and now you've gone and ruined it.

What I really love is that giant trash can attached to the midpipe...makes me like my Ninja 650 even more.

It looks so much like my GS500F that I'm wondering if it would be possible to transplant those double disc brakes onto my bike. Or if the aftermarket comes out with a decent seat for it if I'd be able to use it.

While an update to the GS500F might be nice (EFI instead of trying to guess where to put the choke, in particular), it's still one of the most beginner friendly sport bikes out there this side of the Ninja 250.

Suzuki plans on marketing the bike as an "entry-level" ride. It's possible that the GS will be lost from the line-up by the 2009 model season. Not that that is bad or good, but there is no reason to have the GS around if the price of the Bandit doesn't change.
