How do you spell domination?

MLADIN

Great duel between Roberts and him in the first race but the best (Mladin) prevailed.

Re: How do you spell domination?

Give Roberts 20 more horsepower (like Mladin has) and see where he'd end up...

Conventional wisdom holds that a 7 pound weight reduction equals a gain of 1 horsepower. So, KPaul, just put your wife on back w/ Mladin for the next race and it'd nearly even out. Assuming your wife is under 140lbs, that is.

Kinda puts things in a different light, doesn't it? Yeah...
And don't be thinkin Jason Pridmore getting a 2nd and a 3rd is evidence that the Suzukis have a slight advantage either.
Twins don't belong in Superbike. Don't whine about it.

Hey the twins had their day last year. If they can't get the same horsepower out of the same displacement then get rid of em. I am sure Honda will be racing the new CBR1000RR inline 4 or perhaps a V-5 next year.
Like I said before V-Twins are dead in AMA superbike. Next year will be a great year with the new ZX-10 and CBR1000RR.
If you're going to be posting comments on someone else's dime I'm going to have to tell your boss!
Re: Twins don't belong in Superbike. Don't whine about it.

If so, then on whose picture will you practice your kissing technique next year? ;)
Re: How do you spell domination?

Pfff... He'd end up on his a$$ and then cry about how the tires couldn't hold up to the additional power. God forbid he should learn tire management.
man I hate this.....

But I have to agree with kpaul. With the current AMA rules it will be virtually imposible to make a twin competitive. Even with unlimited mods to a street bike design, there is only so much air that it can move. Even keeping the I4's to minimal mods (lets do a tear down on Yates and Mladins' bike to see), todays I4 is hitting up to 170hp. The AMA needs to do something to keep the Superbike series mixed, and not turn into a Suzuki cup race. I'm not sure that weight classes, ala GP!, are the answer (how much unobtainiun is out there). But it might keep some mix in the bike design.

Race 1 was a blast, and Speed actually blocked out the time to watch all the racing at once. (Someone will loose a job for that screwup;)
It's a good thing Mat's teammate(Aaron) took Eric out a couple of weeks ago.

Oh, wait, that was an accident wasn't it...
Thanks to AAron Yates for effectively handing the championship to his team mate by trying to win at Laguna Seca on the first lap in the second corner and putting E-Boz out for possibly the rest of the season.

Now that is what real skills are all about!
Re: How do you spell domination?

"Conventional wisdom"

Look at who you where aiming that at!

Now cost/performance he understands.
Re: How do you spell domination?

i hope roberts never wins... those faces he makes after every race are priceless...
Re: How do you spell domination?

Dammit, you took the words right out of my mouth!
In all fairness to Aaron, at least he wasn't the only one to make a bonehead move like that on another team's rider- Crybaby Roberts did the same exact thing to Jason DiSalvo in the 600SS race.
Re: How do you spell domination?

Now that was funny TadNPrcd. Every talks how much a whinner Mladin is at least he wins.
So if somebody sticks himself in the eye with a screw driver, it is ok for you to do it also, great consolation for E-Boz.
Re: How do you spell domination?

Does Mladin have a 20 horsepower advantage? I doubt it, but so what if it does. The twins vastly superior power delivery characteristics should still bring it to the front, right? What's all this crap about 7 pounds equal to 1 hp yadayadayada....... The bikes are about the same weight so the twins vastly superior power characteristics should still bring it to the front, right?

I notice all the privateer RC51's are running strong. NOT!!
Re: man I hate this.....

Regarding your statement "The AMA needs to do something to keep the Superbike series mixed, and not turn into a Suzuki cup race." There's nothing stopping Honda boys from running CBR954RR's in the superbike class. Ditto for Yamaha R1's and Kawasaki ZX9R's. Aren't those open class sport bikes? Isn't this what superbike racing should be? I never liked to see the R7 and RC45 machines in the mix. The superbikes should be based on mass produced models available to the average joe. (IMHO)
Well, no, it's not okay- I was just saying that Aaron wasn't the only stupid one there that week ;)
