AMA Praises Motorcycle Industry for Funding New Motorcycle Crash Study
"The American Motorcyclist Association today praised the motorcycle industry for committing $2.8 million to make a new study into the causes of motorcycle crashes a reality. The motorcycle industry announced that it will provide the money through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I'll perform the study for less than half the cost and refund $1.8 million:
1. A bunch of riders crashed because they rode over their heads.
2. A bunch of riders crashed because they're f'd up on something.
3. The rest of the riders crashed because some cager f'd up.

I donated last year when they, AMA, were trying to raise money that was going to be matched at some multiple by someone. How come I didn't recieve a write up? Just kidding. I wonder how many AMA members donated?

Yeah, I suspect there will be all the stats on rain vs. nice weather, single bike versus multiple vehicle, yada yada yada. The question always remains: how come some guys ride for years without an accident and others can't make it home from the dealer?

It'll happen. The best so far was to try to get grant money to research the uses of grant money. I think that one has some legs.
