Yeah, I guess you're right, ZRX. I have no sense of humor. I guess it's just that some humor doesn't strike me as funny. It would as if I were to look at you, having never met you, and saying, "How can you go about your day knowing how absolutely silly you look being six feet tall with only a 25 inch inseam?"

Knowing that I said that with tongue firmly planted in my cheek doesn't change the fact that it's stupid of me to say it. Get my point?

You forgot the RG500 Gamma and RZ500, RZ350 (one of the best sportbikes ever made), any pre-millennium top of the line 600, and any pre-1995 top of the line 750.

Hey I don't claim to have put a lot of miles in the saddle of a Harley, but I've tried a couple of sportsters and an xb9r and I really couldn't fool myself into believing that I was having fun on them. I'm just saying that I admire those who can.

Why would somebody spend 30 grand (price of a fatboy in canada) on a motorcycle that has poor performance, shakes like a cat sh1tting razorblades, and p1sses oil all over the place? I'll tell you: For the name and the image. NOT BECAUSE IT'S A GOOD MOTORCYCLE. Harley's competition will never be able to generate that image, but they will continue to sell superior machinery at a lower price.

I might be singing a different tune once I've tried a V-rod, but honestly, you can't really give HD all the credit for engineering that machine.

Suzy and Schlongrider: I bet you guys think Nascar is really cool.

Totally agree with you! I want to believe in the Buell thing so bad. However, you are absolutely right in order for HD to build a quality sportbike they would have to spend a lot of money and they won't do it. So we are stuck with sportbike wantabes like the Firebolt i.e. Quirky, slow, unreliable, unrefined pretenders.

I've ridden bikes that were quirky (Multistrada) and slow (monster 620) but they were still a ball to ride. However there is no excuse for unreliable and unrefined in a 10k + motorcycle.
