Can't tell for sure from the pictures, but it looks like plain old steel or cast iron disk rotors to me. With all the other carbon fiber, I would expect to see carbon-carbon brakes, also. That would save another couple pounds.

I bet that the reason you don't see the weight quoted is that it would not be all that much lighter than the published weight of a stock Suzuki. All the Big 4 seem to lie by 20 to 50 lbs, as near as I can tell.

OK so cruisers might be an exception to that dishonesty. No one seems to care that much about being the lightest in the class.

what's even funnier????? he could have saved thousands by just making it faster not lighter. Mapping and exhaust are cheap in comparison. and the stock brakes are already excellent....

considering i'm 250lbs, reducing weight on any bike would not net much of a gain on any performance numbers. i imagine that at best he's saved some where around 8-15 lbs of dry weight. oooooo, that's worth the money i'm sure- if he weighs in at say 145 or under.

See why we should buy Harleys? That nasty depreciation cares little for all the pricey extras but put it on a Harley and that value holds. Of course carbon fiber might not be worth much on a road pig.

I agree there. I never have gotten the carbon fiber "look." I understand the bennefits but it always looks like an addon piece especially on a red civic with a real or pretend black cf hood:)

Agreed. I wouldn't have spent that much on the Suzuki, and it probably started out as a replacemen t of damaged parts, but there are a lot of tasty parts on that bike. I say: whatever makes you happy is cool with me. At least it has two wheels.
