According to the insurance post, sportbikes are getting harder and harder to control.That would have to be true for the race preped bikes also (i.e. faster, better brakes, better handling) making it more important to have better skills. So I guess if Rossi raced other top racers from other generations he would win. With that logic I guess that makes him the best ever!
Rossi like Mladin are the greatest.
Rossi is the best by far. By the way, Mladin won his 5th AMA Superbike championship. I have noticed that longNazi has been very silent about Mladin. [*] Could it be that Mladin proved to the AntiAussie crowd (longNazi, seruzaWacko, sarNellie, BuzBoy, peeBad, Capt. K-Y) that he is the best AMA racer in history?

An argument can already easily be made for the statement. What will sign, seal, and deliver the claim though is another couple championships. In the MX world Ricky Carmichael is already making Jeremy McGrath a memory. It's all due not just to winning championships but totally dominating. That is what Rossi is doing, dominating. Hes Michael Jordan in leathers.

As it happens I think Mladin wins because he's the best rider on the best bike, backed by the best team.
I usually don't post much on racing topics because I don't follow racing that close, and unlike you, if I don't know what I'm taking about I keep my mouth shut.
As for Rossi I think the results speak for themselves, Agostini and Yer' Mon, Joey Dunlop will have to make room at the top of the talent pile.

I just finished watching it on DirecTV.
We had a tape delay in N.J.
Tremendous race.
Rossi is the best in this generation.
I'd have to say, previous racers may have been able to beat him.
Years gone by it was much harder to go fast on the equipment of the day.

Coupla things.
1) The last lap was amazing. Even my ten-year-old daughter thought it was exciting and after the race kept saying "Rossi won! I can't believe it. Rossi won!" although her perspective on GP racing is somewhat warped around Vale being "the cutest one."
2) Anybody else notice how ticked off Sete was? After the race in the post-race interview he said something like "Congratulations to Vale on the title," and then shut up and crossed his arms over his chest. He was freaking' fit to be tied that Rossi nipped him two turns from the finish.

Yep I noticed that about Sete. I think Rossi should just grow up a little. Sete is a good man and Rossi's team broke the rules. He should of been upset with his team in Quatar for breaking the rules, so what if Sete's team called them on it.

We can always raise taxes on lower middle class types like yourself.
The oil and gas industry has donated 16 million to the campaign - 80% to Republicans.
The Trial Lawyers have donated 172 million. 75% of it to Democrats.
As a motorcyclist, I've never poured a lawyer into my gas tank although I've considered lighting a few on fire.
