Captain Quasar! You're wanted on the planet Z-47. Here's you carry-on luggage.

Please, tell me they're gonna do a turtle-shell thing with these. I've always loved Speedy Turtle in the old Buggs Bunny cartoons.

Just imagine all the fun you could have with some chrome pipe extensions and a couple smoke bombs.

Warning: not to be used as a boogy-board behind motorcycle. Example:"Come on, Jimmy! Lay on yer back and hold on to the rope. It'll be fun!"

For a somewhat less-expensive option that doesn't look like a Star Wars toy, check out the Kriega pack -

It holds my Powerbook laptop pretty nicely, and doesn't have straps flying in the breeze. It won't protect my computer if I crash hard enough to land on my back, but I might not be too worried about computer damage if I did.

Nice review. I confess this was one of the reasons, along with the biitch in the Excursion on 405 who tried to run me over, which made me give up commuting on my bike. I have to carry a company bought laptop, cell-phone, pager wherever I go. Ain't technology just fracking great. Seriously, I think I'll get one of these for the summer commute. Thanks EBass. Did I mention that I was related to Nostradamus.

LOL Good one. Yep I think a turtle shell thing would be cool, since I ride a Ninja. Get it?
Fer-sure! Good way to keep yer pizza dry.
I could have used one of these years ago. It's the reason I commuted on my GoldWing instead of the Ninja. Since I may be commuting with a laptop again soon, this one will get a look for sure.
Not to fan the flames, but... If I go down one day riding to work the last thing I am concerned with is my company issued (and insured) laptop or my cell phone. I think bodily injury and a trashed bike rate much higher on my "there goes my bank account" meter.

It's a cool product though. I wonder if the is a Harley version with flames and a live to ride, ride to live logo on it?
I hate riding with anything bigger than a hydration system on my back.

Screw that.
My subscription runs out in 58 days. Do you think that the 2005 CBR 600RR article will be out by then?

not betting on it!
All it needs is a couple of mock rocket exhausts on the bottom and you can ride around making Commander Cody "whoosh whoosh" noises as you battle the Radar Men from the Moon.
Nobody cares

About when your subscription runs out and nobody is holding their breath waiting to see if you will renew. Maybe you and KPaul can quit together and we can have some kind of party for both of you.
It's not the cost of the laptop dude. The Private Sector for Dummies...

You are a teacher right. Well It's the data and the other proprietary stuff that maybe on the laptop that I would worried about... Although I back up the proprietary stuff on a server there are times when there is a gap between what is on my computer and the backup. Also when you work in large organization it's the time to get back up and running. It can take weeks to get a replacement laptop sometimes. Also there are software tools that have been loaded and configured which may not be in the backup... In the dog eat dog world of cut throat competition of the real world time is money and opportunities lost.....
Re: Nobody cares

Hey I love the time you and the other dwarfs and I spend together. Kiss kiss. Love ya .....
Yep you could have theme models like lunch boxes. I think a Rocketeer model would be cool. A Turtle shelll like jungkvist suggested to go with my Ninja would be my choice.....
looks like a cannister vacuum

Axio Tekno Laptop Hard Case...And Related Products

Axio is also coming out with similar "turtle shell" Tekno arm chaps.

These arm chaps will be available with fringes for cruiser fans or in carbon fiber for the sportbike set.

Rumors of the Axio Hard Shell pack system consisting of not just the back pack but also small arm, thigh, and calf packs for Ironbutters or the BMW GS crowd are just that...rumors.
I have been using a Boblbe laptop backpack for a couple of years to carry my PowerBook and assorted gear. I have tried the Axio on and I think the Boblbe is more ergonomically shaped.

Also, it's been around for a while, so you can find it at a discount, and they have more colors to match the bike or helmet, if you are into that.
