Re: The Philippines are more progressive than backwards U.S.

Wait a minute - I thought he was a "chickenhawk"? Now you're telling me he's one of John Kerry's ********* Mongols?

You nailed it, Browning BAR. Excellent post again. The techy-paranoids will howl about their "rights", but we know it's a privilege.

Apparently you haven't had as much contact with some of the leadership flacks from the NRA as I have. BTW exactly how many bad gun laws have been reversed by all of the money that we gave to the NRA to "get the right people elected?" The assault weapons ban doesn't count as it mearly sunseted and took no positive action by those sh!t bags we gave our money to.

Dude.

O.K. Here's the problem.

K, can you name one thing that the government does that it HASN'T F***ED UP?

Any time you give ANY freedom up, you Never, Ever get it back. The only way you increase your freedom is thru an armed revolution. Personally, I never want to go through that, but it won't be us, it'll be 1 or 2 or more generations down the road.

The Government is a necessary evil, and a lot of great men I think of as Patriots won us our freedoms a not too terribly long time ago. It DOES all go hand in hand, and you can't give up ANYTHING without weakening everything else.

Good point.. Feds will have to withhold highway money until states pass the appropriate laws. Similar to drinking age and speed limit laws..

Excellent effective satirical counter agreement. Very creative.. I think number 3 is already law in most states. Seems like number 4 is redundant to carrying a valid motorcycle license. I think you bring up a good point on number 5 and 6. I think a 5 year limit on helmets probably would be a good thing. I like number 8 and 9 though. Number 10 is already law in states that have vehicle safety inspections. Number 1 has no chance to become law.. All Harley's and Goldwings would be illegal. Don't think that is reasonable. I think my kpaul plan is much more reasonable.

Really?

"3. Mandatory training every 6 years Federal Law"

Done that?

"6. AMA sponsored real road training classes."

Done a road training class?

"7. Tiered licensed based on hp,torque, and weight combo.."

What were your previous motorcycles before the ZX-6R, and how long did you ride each before moving up to the next tier?

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this. There are too many folks in the NRA willing to sacrifice other peoples gun right to secure there own.

Whether it's hi-cap mags, "assault rifles", or handguns. I have never seen such a group willing to burn the poor bastard next to them in order to secure their rights for the time being.

They also tow the party line far too much. The repubs are not much better at gun rights than the demos are and yet they continue to preach the "vote republican" mantra.

You forgot the quarterly safety inspection of tires, brakes, etc.

Also the breathalyzer tube that the rider must wear while riding to ensure he/she hasn't exceeded the .08 alcohol limit.

How many bad gun laws were killed in the womb?

Perfect is the enemy of good. Gun control is a dead issue in American politics. I think the NRA gets most of the credit for that. JMHO. Sorry you're disappointed that bad laws remain on the books, but I'll keep ponying up my dues to help insure more bad ones don't get in.

Could you tell me the name of the gun rights organization you belong to and the successes they've had? I'll gladly throw them my support.

Thank you. I always feel better when I sit quietly and clean my Mini-14. Her name is "Rachel".
