Sorry to hear about your ride. Since the ST4s isn't available anymore, most of the MOrons here have covered your options. If you were interested in saving some money you might look at an SV1000/V-Strom, the Strom has luggage available. The Triumph products mostly have hard luggage available and are great bikes, but you sound like a Duc man to me.

Re: Mayors Choose Seattle as America's Most Liveable City

That's why it's called Global Climate Change now and not Global Warming.

Any weather anomaly can be blamed on evil SUVs.

That and every time AlGore shows up to give a Global Warming speech, the town he is in has a record cold snap.

Mars and Jupiter are warming too. We should send Algore there to lecture. I'll contribute..

Have you considered the new BMW R1200R? It's gotten some pretty fine reviews, and with hard bags and a windshield it would be a fine tourer like its predecessors.

Ah, the Al Gore Effect. First identified by outstanding Aussie blogger Tim Blair. It's a meme now!

Triumph Tiger with the hard bags. Or, as others have said, keep the ST3 and buy a cheap play/ track day bike for tossing around(like a GS500 or SV650)

Tall and narrow would be great for SF, the extra suspension travel comes in handy too when jumping intersections. Just dont go from a KLR 650 to a K12RS when living in SF. I can say first hand the K12RS doesnt land as softly as one might think...

Hi Fenton,

Since you asked, i thought i'd let you know the outcome of the ordeal, which concluded today. The settlement came out quite favorably, and so i can pay off the loan on the bike and have some change left over. The dealer is offering a nice deal on a new ST3. I think i'm going to settle on a used Futura though.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions. I definately appreciate it.
