GPTB definition

GPTB is acronym that I invented. It means Gray Pony Tailed Brotherhood. They are middle aged American male bikers born between 1945-1963 who ride cruisers. They prefer to ride a Harley if they can afford it. They hate helmet laws and when forced to wear a helmet they will wear the worthless skull cap versions. They get most of their news from Fox News. Bill O'Rielly, W, and Cheney are their heroes. Although now they won't admit it, they voted for W and still support the Iraq war. They are stay the course people. i.e. No new models for Harley and no new engines for Buell. They begrudge ling accept folks that ride V-Rods.

A crock, no, it's not a crock it's bull$hit. Hope all who have continued to go to the excrement hole known as Sturgis enjoyed themselves and may they not be in Janklow's (aka that Jacka$$ from South Duhkota) way. I won't be going back until I can join Holy_Kaw for that trip to this jerks grave. If you go out west, go north to North Dakota or take US20 across Nebraska. Both prettier than South Dakota and not one penny will go to a state that allows this sort of crap (at least not that we know of anyway). Anyhow, does anyone really think anyone actually from SD makes any money on Sturgis except the state? Where does the state make its money, hmmmm, taxes and fines. Lots and lots of fines. Man, I've been several times and for the life of me can't figure out why anyone would go there...it is close to Yellowstone though...and Mount Rushmore...

Re: GPTB definition

Let's see, kpaul said I was GPTB. Let's check his definition:

*middle aged American male bikers born between 1945-1963

Nope.

*who ride cruisers.

Nope.

*They prefer to ride a Harley if they can afford it.

Nope.

*They hate helmet laws

Yep.

*when forced to wear a helmet they will wear the worthless skull cap versions.

Nope.

*They get most of their news from Fox News. Bill O'Rielly, W, and Cheney are their heroes.

Nope.

Christ, do I have to go any further?

The definition of "GPTB" is anybody who isn't exactly like kpaul.

thanks for the gptb clue-in.

as for mr. janklow's case...that's unfortunately just the way the world works (europe very much included...eastern europe moreso). those who can afford justice may attain it. and those who can afford to avoid justice, circumvent it.

the solution as i see it? vote dishonest politicians out of office, and replace them with candidates that have their constituency's interests at heart. that means having a population of informed citizens that actively vote en masse, which is unfortunately what we in america do not have. in the 2000 presidential elections, only 60 percent of registered voters actually voted. also in the 2000 election, only 70 percent of americans of voting age actually took the time to register to vote. 60 percent of 70 percent is 42 percent. 42 percent of americans seem to think that voting is a worthwhile activity. if you don't practice democracy, you lose it.

Justice is a relative term in this country, the ones that have money and powerful connections get one kind, and the rest of us get a totaly different version.

They should have hung the prick a long time ago.

Pi$$ on all who spend a penny in SD.
