Heh heh, I would certainly hope so. (End of heh heh) I have a considerable Euro mortgage. Unfortunately the socialist card house has a faster growing economy than the US so does not look very promising at the moment.

The problem with motorcycle diesels is the low hp/displacement output of diesels. Turbos help this a lot, but still you are not going to get anywhere near the hp you can from a gasoline engine. Torque is another thing since diesels get loads of torque. It remains to be seen if motorcyclists are going to be willing to give up the hp.
The cars finishing first and second at Le Mans were diesels. The low hp/displacement is mainly a design choice for the usual diesel application. Having loads of torque doesn't mean you can't have big hp, the two aren't antithetical. To have big hp you just need to maintain the torque to high rpm.
