and after jailing the idiot and impounding his bike they wonder why anyone would run? I wonder if they jail people doing 100mph in suv's?, like noone here knows the answer.

It would be nice to know the particulars of the arrest, was there any trafic, was the road dry/ weather clear. Assuming dry smooth road clear weather light trafic and a divided highway that allready has a speed limit of 70 this really is not that heinous

He's not that much of an idiot. You can't tell me that any of you haven't done this before, unless you ride slow bikes like Hardleys or Cruisers. The smart thing was that he stopped as soon as he saw they were coming for him. 155 is just the middle for 3rd gear for me. Yes I've been there - Yes I got away - yes it was so much fun watching that other bike try to keep up-oh, I;m sorry - was that you I passed?

i like the "gee i thought i was only doing 120 or 130" part. idiot!

the guy who crashed his ferrari enzo at 120 on PCH in malibu is a free man for coming up with: "a german guy i met named Dieter was driving, but ran away after the crash." It worked. So far...

if this happens to me, i like to come up with a pursued by Hells Angels, or i'm just back from the `Nam and thought i saw an RPG coming my way... anything... something, people.

Who was the comedian i was reading about who crashed his car into the Caesar's Palace fountain? when the cops arrive, he jumps out and says, "NO WAX!"

Yeah, well..obviously not from a good gene pool. Now if the law here in Louisiana would take to nailing 18-wheelers who go way over the speed limit, tailgating, and switching lanes like they were in a Miata, then we might have safer roads. Those a-holes truckers don't think the law applies to them, and by the lack of performance by the law, I guess it doesn't.

Well, if we all know the answer is "yes", than yeah.

They do arrest people that REALLY go over the speed limit.

I've read/seen it happen in FL, AZ and PA.

I read about it the most in AZ as people seem to like to go WELL over 100 on I-17 between Sedona and Phoenix in all types of vehicles.

Hey dude im a trucker to does that mean im an a-hole.You show your lack of an iq when you make such statements. And if you speed then you cant say chit.Trucks tailgating ,changing lanes like there in a miata.Come on man give me a break. If were tailgating its because some moron just cut right in front of us witch is often the case.Face it 99 % of the things you have in your home were on a truck at some time. So suck it up.

155 mph is pretty good on an R6. I know it is dangerous, but sometimes it gets the better of us.I bought a 'Busa and drove it from LA to Vegas Out of the pass going down to State line (now known as Primm), I was doing 140MPH for a number of miles. I saw a helicopter on the Nevada side, and slowed down well before the state line. He must have saw me because he followed me for a while on the Nevada side, and I was eventually followed by a trooper, but I kept my speed down, and cruised into Vegas. 140 on a 'Busa feels like cruising Woohoo!

Probably not too bad after removing the factory pink & white handlebar tassels. I heard that they create a bit of drag going down the straightaways.
