A lot of people think Speed = Danger. I was a trucker for 7 years while in college and the only people who drive as well as truckers are bus drivers.
Think about most of the wrecks you see by the side of the highway. I live in NYC and mostly the wrecks are SUVs, followed by cars. Given the number of trucks and buses out there they are way under-represented in accidents - especially single vehicle accidents. One time on the I80 after a short but heavy rain I saw at least 4 SUVs spun out. How did they manage this? Most probably by panicking and then locking their brakes.
Driving a truck requires planning where you want the vehicle before you get to a point. Otherwise because of its size and low manoueverability you will not be able to clear the corner etc. I always feel safer that a trucker will not do something stupid because of the discipline I know it takes.
Additionally, according to statistics, having a Commercial Drivers License - aka truck license- makes one a safer Biker - and car driver as well.

I believe he crested a hill and his car went from a downforce mode to a low-grade lifting body mode. It subsequently spun. He's lucky:
1) that he wasn't driving faster; and,
2) that he wasn't driving a Mercedes CLR "Silver Arrow" Le Mans prototype.

Many people around my area would think 155 is a joke. 180-190 indicated is a common benchmark among the local litrebikers. 155 is highway speed, in traffic - I know, because I've tried to keep up and failed. Kind of scary. Actually, that's REALLY scary, and shows how many morons ride bikes up here in Canada...
But then again, in our province, the police cannot pursue a vehicle travelling more than 125mph, so you won't likely see any headlines about 150mph+ arrests.
