I suppose Kerry, the Kennedys, Barbara Boxer, and myriad other Democrats have worked all their lives at manual labor? The elite Democrats are less likely to have worked than the elite Republicans, although I don't know what the point is that you are making- neither group of politicians are anything more than lawyers who out for their own self aggrandizement.

I believe General Motors (and probably all the other vehicle mfrs) used to can anyone not going by the "party line" loyalty. They certainly wouldn't let you park in their company parking lot unless you had an approved car.
