RC is impressive this year! MC is keeping the pressure on but it doesn't seem to matter. RC is winning with good starts bad starts it just doesn't fade him at this point. He can come from behind, lead the whole race, or battle bar to bar with MC. Either way he seems to find a way to win as all champions do at one point or another.

Oh yeah....first post!

On another note I wonder what Mike L could do if ever learned to consistanly get good starts. So many times he is the fastest at the end of the race. That also may be due to the leaders slowing down with a big advantage over the other riders.

Whatever?

I don't know about supercross but in some of the RoadRacing series they actually Dyno the bikes and if you exceed the horsepower cap for your class you are disqualified. While the AM races I enter don't go to such extreme they do have inspections and I'm sure Super and Motocross are the same. I would doubt that he would have gotten away this long with any real advantages.

Plus other riders can protest and force an inspection I'm sure. The fact that 8 races have gone by and nothing of the sort has been found lead you to belive that he is just flat out kicking everyone's butt!

Carmichael's advantage appears to be in his corner speed. Even McGrath has commented on how fast Ricky gets through the corners. As for H.P. in general. It isn't as big of an issue in Supercross as it is on the more open (outdoor) tracks. Most people agree, that they would go faster on a 250 on a typical motocross track, than they would on a 500 (Believe me.... my CR 500 kicks my ass on pure motocross tracks)

Drop the negativity already! Perhaps you are not old enough yet to have figured out that nobody likes to be around people who are contentious all of the time. It's just my opinion, but life's too short to be derogatory toward everything and everyone.

Come on RC, clinch that title before Vegas so we don't have to pay (the mafia) to watch it on pay per view. I already spend $500 a year to subsribe to cable t.v. as it is. Hey PACE, shove it where the sun don't shine, you greedy bastards.

I agree 100%! I was at the Houston race, right at

the landing of the 1st tripple ( before the whoops ),

and Carmichael would hit the turn after the tripple

and just ZAP.. he was GONE! Then through the

whoops! His whoop speed is phenominal too... I

doubt anyone is faster.. maybe Ezra.. it's tough to

say though. RC is just doggone fast!!

Saw Langston crash out too.. man, what a bummer!

The crowd was behind him and everything... a real

shame as he was just acknowledging the cheering

fans right before he crashed. Its easy to say "well,

he should've kept his eyes on the prize..." but it

was really just a fluke thing.. caught the top of this

little double into the corner after the tripple... just

an inch or two mistake. This guy is good.. if he

can get experience (and he will) he'll be there.

Well.. there's my nickle recap! Ya want better

reporting, watch Speedvision! ...who in my mind do

a million times better job than ESPN2!.. What's with

ESPN2 cutting off the start of the Daytona 250-SX

race!!? IDIOTS!!! Cut some of the damned -fluff-

and interviews BEFORE the race if your b-ball games

run long!!! SHEESH!.. this ain't rocket-science!! I

want to see -racing- action!!! not puff-pieces!!

don't get me started on ESPN2... too late!

PS. dunno why.. but this thing is telling me I'm an

anonymous squid when I have registered long ago...

hmmm.. strange! -Jamesohoh7

I was really bummed to see Langston fall. KTM must be weeping over that one. Their first win ever was within grasp and then......gone. bummer, but Langston has the ability and he is likely to put it on the top box soon. He'll be strong in the Nationals.

Ricky has two strengths over Jeremy: corner speed and aggressiveness. McGrath has never really has to be aggressive. He is accustomed to out smoothing everybody. That isn't good enough to beat Ricky. Now Ricky has Jeremy's confidence seriously shaken. This is the best test the Champion has ever had. I hope he rises to the challenge.

As for LaRocket, man, does he ever need help doing starts. He'll be a force in the Nationals. I was cheering my head off for him Sat night.

Was anybody else there in the Dome? Did you notice that SFX did a significantly worse job than Pace?

As for the 426, in SX, absolute power is much less important than how instantaneous it is.
