Would YOU trust your accounting to someone who looks like a Harley rider ?

Is it a shake down or are the Harley Execs guilty of insider trading? The truth usually comes out eventually....i.e. its hard to keep a secret. You are probably right, seems like the Harley Execs would be pretty stupid if they did engage in insider trading. These guys make so much money anyway..Why would they risk it... So I leaning your way. You make a good point about listing their other targets/victims. Good to hear dealer have too many bikes where you are....I would love to have a V-Rod but like you said not at current prices.... I had my pride smacked by an older guy who passed me in some twisties on a V-Rod. The only redeming part of the incident was listening to his bike as it passed me. Love that sound...
Funny, with the amount of lawyers going up, you think their prices woud be coming down. Hmmm, maybe someone should investigate that.

Considering that Harley has been catering to lawyers and other weathy-stockholder types, isn't this like being slapped by the hand that feeds you?

Now, how did I do that?
How much is enough.

Answer: Money's a "Jones" just like junk. If you've got a-hole-in-your-soul, the long-geen will do fine. Thing is, a junkie's a junkie! Some just dress better than others. It's all about dopamine.
Did anyone actually read the article? basically alleges that sales growth was falsified by building dealer inventories, leading to false reporting of actual "sales".

Not uncommon..when retaill sales fall, production continues in the hope of sales, inventory builds...production has to adjust. The suit basically says that investors should have been told of this.

Fair enough.

I just but older bikes cheaply when new owners sell after taking the depreciation hit...keep all those new bike tests of the better new bikes coming!!!

Where is K-Paul? Did I miss something...he should be all over this, no?
Re: Off topic

He got the boot, after numerous warnings about thread hi-jacking, off topic rants and carpet bombing with his political agenda, Sean refunded his money and showed him the door.
Motorcycle enthusiasts wouldn't be Harley's "target market"?
A 50:1 return on your investment is stil,, what, about five bucks?

YOU MEAN MSCUDDY IS KPAUL!!!!!!!!

son of a *****.... sure had me fooled...
Re: It's the Beginning of the End!!!

I sure hope so. I can't wait to find some schmuck who bought a Harley because "it was cool," then put some straight pipes on because "it was cool," and then didn't ride it because it was too freaking loud and it pissed off his wife. With the collapse of Harley-Davidson just around the corner I too will be able to buy a nice, new, four-year-old Harley with 263 miles on it for $73. I can't wait.

Indy car enthusiasts wouldn't by Yugo's target market?
Come on, folks. Let's all sit back and think for just a moment about what lawyers do... Are you ready? Do you have your thinking caps on? Are you ready to spray milk out of your nose?

Lawyers either sit around all day trying to think of reasons why it's okay for the person who is paying them to break the law, or they sit around all day trying to find ways to exploit the law for their own personal gain.

I'm not just bitter this time.

No, not Ashley!
Re: Off topic

Holy crap...it's so obvious...i.e., I see it now...
I may have to change my tactics: Apparentely there's a hot mining claim at the end of Barton Road in Pocatello, ID!
During the '90's, I was saying that all it would take would be a recession and all the Rubbies and profilers would be selling their boutique bikes as fast as they could, it would glut the market and Harley would go bust. Well, we got the recession, but HD and the real estate market seemed strangely uneffected, that was, until recently. I know that the sales demographics showed that the "average" HD rider had an above average income, but it couldn't be all doctors and lawyers buying those bikes. I thought their press releases of record sales each quarter smelled funny, even during the height of the recession. Now the real estate market is being hit hard, HD chops production and there are allegations of fudged sales figures and stock dumping. Should of seen that coming! Not exactly an Enron, but it could hurt the company. Glad I didn't have any Harley stock.
