What's to be mad about???

I think my neighbor has a gun therefore I'm planning to invade his house (he doesn't seem to like me anyways) if he gets hurt, oh well, that's "War". OK, he's not really my neighbor, he's on the other side of the world but it's still Self-defense, get it?

OK, I don't really think he has a gun (and if he does I may have sold it to him awhile back) BUT he has some stuff I want and me and my "friends" are bigger and badder than him and his. Get it?

OK, I suppose I could just go over with a sixpack and try to befriend him instead of this "War" thing but then I wouldn't get his stuff, get it?

Well stupid is as stupid does JB. Yeah Kellen jr. is stupid, so are those that support our imperial ambitions. Those that say they support the "war on terrorism" , and refuse to enlist in the fight are immediately exposed as hypocrites by questions such as yours. When I ask older supporters of our imperial hubris why they aren't supporting it with their presence, the immediate reply is well I'm too old to be accepted in the military. It is then that I remind them that there are plenty of lucrative job opportunities over there that would "help" support our troops. That usually shuts them up. BTW, did I mention that KW Jr. is stupid? VWW

Ask this one too

You might want to ask all the people demanding more gov't spending on social welfare programs who pay little or no federal income tax if they would be willing to voluntarily donate up to 50% of their paycheck to aid the cause.

Re: Ask this one too

eh? buzglyd how much do you think us govt. spends on 'welfare' as compared to how much it spends to maintain 10 nuclear aircraft carriers and all the trimmings? It's similar to the ratio of what i spend on beer and cigs compared to what i tithe to the Church of Latter Day Saints. Find a new argument please.

in a sluggish economy

inflation, recession

hits the land of the free

standing in unemployment lines

blame the government for hard time

we just get by

however we can

we all gotta duck

when the $hit hits the fan

10 kids in a cadillac

stand in lines for welfare checks

let's all leach off the state

gee! the money's really great!

soup lines

free loaves of bread

5lb blocks of cheese

bags of groceries

social security

has run out on you and me

we do whatever we can

gotta duck when the $hit hits the fan

No I can't say I did. My dad was in the Army but he never encouraged me to join. As a child in the 70s growing up in hippy Los Angeles, members of the military weren't looked upon quite as fondly as they are now.

You know all that "baby killer" stuff can influence a young mind.

Re: He's a soldier!

Sean <--- It could be argued that some of us get older but grow no wiser.

I often videotape my own "stupid" motorcycle stunts and I'm rapidly approaching 40. I was once young, dumb and in the Army. I'm now older dumb(er?) and violating multiple traffic laws on video.

And now in an unrelated topic... I feel sorry for the guy, most of us did "stupid things" as kids and some of us occasionally still do. Most of us got off a lot cheaper and some had to pay a whole lot more...

Yeah, but you aren't jeopardizing a multi-million dollar contract, that stipulated that you wouldn't do those things. If it ever came down to a choice between you and Kellen Jr. for pres. I'd vote for you every time. Van
