Cold as f**k this morning too, 14 snow and ice everywhere, nasty. My Bonnie is safe and warm (almost) in the garage while I give the 4wd and ABS on my Ford a workout. I wanted to take the 'Rover for a beat but it don't have ABS and I really need that.

As long as it melts before Sunday and the IMS in Seattle I'll be OK. I want to give my new Aerostitch banana suit a workout in the rain..

Very true, my T 100 with jets, pipes, K&N filter, Norman Hyde Bellmouth intake and Hagon suspension front and rear is a runnin' fool.

More fun then two frenchman and a bar of soap....

I would personally pick the Speedmaster which I think is a pretty nice bike.

It wasn't included because it would have spanked this other crap silly.

Cruisers are a bit pricey but the bikes in this group will get you in the game. However, those metric cruisers drop in value quickly. Use that to your advantage and buy that big boy used. I got a very clean Mean Streak for a tick over $6K. Very little maintenance, decent power, great brakes, handles great too. Shop wisely and have a lot of fun. Being more of a sport-touring and vintage rider, I always feel a bit sullied after a cruiser ride but I always want to go do it again. I do ride on the highway with my feet on the rear pegs though. Looks strange and should kill my knees but it is amazingly comfortable. Beats the hell outta that forward peg siht too. Except when you need to quickly get to that rear brake. Be bold, have fun, try everything.

The roads are a mix of compact snow and ice and snow yesterday, the ABS worked better than not having it IMO

I think you went off half ****ed. If you ***** your head to one side, the M50 isn't bad looking. In fact, I think the M50 cold****s the Madura's looks. Why, I'd be proud as a pea***** to own that bike. BTW, is the M50 injected or does it use a carb and pet*****?

I'm sorry but I just had to see what this would look like when it was posted.

Yep, I agree. Used metric is the way to go. Nothing changes from year to year on these damn things anyway, so why not buy a bigger displacement model used and take the savings, vs. buying one of these sad pipsqueaks.

Even the 900 is sad. My dirt bike makes more than 50 hp.

Re: Your Homework

Sorry...my dog ate my homework. Mea culpa;I forgot about your XL1200r/Scrambler review. Nice review where you concluded that the Sporty won but wouldnt declare a winner...Hmmmm. By the way are the Scrambler and 1200R light middleweight cruisers, middleweight cruisers or standards?

Uh, decent non-HD cruisers have been around for around two decades now, so it's hardly a new phenomenon. Choice and competition are good for all sides, so go with the best bike for your taste in style, comfort and performance -- brand loyalty be damned.

Exactly, which is why the English invented single malt to help with icy driving. Och, ye don't put it in the whiskey, ya silly bugger; you swill that neat from the bottle, as you spread those clever Scots screws ahead of the Bentley. The English allowed the Scots to claim single malt, in exchange for William Wallace. He was nay good on ice, either. And his ABS-Machine was of little use as well. Still, he would have looked good on a custom-cruiser, all blue, with his wild hair flying...that was then. Like our Mel, and accidental-speech, his time has passed: Raise a glass to probity and the detailing, anally-chromed.
