I just can't see how the 883 can take last place in this review. Most of the time, these bikes are stepping stones to larger and more powerful bikes for the first time rider except for the 883. In every case (except for the HD), the owner usually takes a bath on the resale a year or two after buying any one of these bikes. At the very least, the 883 has some staying power with huge HD and aftermarket support and a cheap upgrade to 1200CC's where the other bikes in this test are dead end streets in the performance path.
