Buz, I think most of us would be more likely to buy the Sprint.



But there is potentially a very compelling story if the 675 is anything close to what Bike says it is.

Don't feel bad. A friend of mine who's in his 30s recently bought an SV1000S. He hadn't ridden in a number of years. We went on a ride in the mountains a couple of weeks ago and after a couple of hours he started complaining about his wrists. I told him that some superduperfantastico motorcycle genius experts advise that he could solve all comfort issues by going to the gym regularly. He responded, "I do go to the gym! 5 times a week! These bars suck!" I told him that since he goes to the gym regularly that he is actually really comfortable and all the pain is in his head. He responded, "#[email protected]#@332$#$^#!"

There are for pianists ,something called musicians sleeves,I will get the name when I get home they are designed to alleviate pressure on and around the hands wrists and forearms while also massaging all the areas and they are open fingered ,so that pianists can play .Maybe that will help your friend

Bonus points for not spelling pique "peak." All this talk about the advantages of a triple regarding torque (better than a four) and peak power (better than a twin) misses the main point - triples just sound so cool.

That scrambler looks like my CL350. Except for the pipes being on the wrong side. Those wacky Brits.

As for the street bike, it looks kind of, er..Japanese to me...

True, but if it's a hardcore sportbike what's the point? What class is it going to race in? Are you going to want to ride the thing for 500 miles a day? Or will it actually be fairly comfy?



To me, it just seems pointless to have something that can't race have race ergos.

The Scrambler? Hmmm. I was hoping for more of a real dual-sport bike, not a Bonne with GoodYear tires and upswept pipes.



So long 4 cylinders - prolly too expensive to make it for the volume and price. They need to bring back the Speed 4 in some form.



A twin cylinder entry-level bike, supermotard based on the Bonne lump, 500cc, 400lbs, 50hp nice springy suspension and priced at about $5.5k.

True, you make a good point. There has been speculation that the WSS rules will be changed to allow the 675 triple. There does seem to be some reason why Triumph chose the 675 displacement. Now, whether it's because it fits neatly between the 600-fours and the 750-twin remains to be seen. WSS doesn't seem to be making any major rules changes, yet. Although, it could be argued that allowing the triple isn't really a major rules change. And maybe AMA? BSS?



And also remember the majority of 600 SS buyers. They just want the biket that's the baddest so they can play Ricky Racer or brag to the squid hoards about, not the one that's most practical. Triumph may be playing right along to a degree.

No, your friend is right. I thought the SV1000 ergos were bad, too. There's a fairly long stretch to the bars and the bars themselves are too narrow and angled too far downward.



The bike might fit some well, but not me.
