Re: He should talk to longride about wearing a full face helmet

Well, of course you can. It's all about attitude. A VFR is MUCH faster than almost all of us who ride one. You just have to reboot your computer when the roads get wet.

Re: Excellent post!

BEEOUGHTCHE!, Are you Sean's Bud? If so I don't want to hear it. Either way, you are So Cal and can ride real MC roads whenever.

The 'turns" we got to play with are so friggin' dangerous if trying to deal some speed that if there were alternatives within 500 miles some would choose them.

Point, Shoot, Jam Brakes, Throw, repeat... when not trying to hold 60+MPH through a RR s-turn.

Got laughs out of some of your other replies, thanks.

"Ok now you are past pathetic."

"Let it go."

" You remind me of a friend of mine that he just hates to admit he is wrong. "

My irony meter just exploded and took out a city block.

I run either Avon AV46's or Michelin Pilot Roads. They both offer about the best combination of wet and dry traction for year round riding up here.

My Bonnie came with a Metzler Z2 which works pretty well. It's dificult to find good rubber to fit it so I'll probabaly stick with them on this bike.

They need to score all they can - didn't you hear? Last year for the V-Twin!

They'd best get to crankin' out those Desmosedici motors as fast as possible, and get to work on a new inline-four.......

Re: More Nonsense...

Kinda glanced through before, didn't look right. The formula for kinetic energy is KE=MV2 or mass times velocity squared. There is no halving of anything.

I'll never believe you were just looking to see if anyone would catch that. Don't sweat it though, we all make mistakes.

Doesn't matter.

Sorry but loud pipes will not make a difference until we have some real penalties for bad driving.

I just got a brand new Mazda 3 a week ago.

On Friday night I got rear ended. My wife was STOPPED at a red light when a 17 year old kid plowed into us an a cloud of rubber from his locked up breaks.

Had I been on my bike or or if we had been crossing that intersection I would bet on us not being alive.

His excuse was he was not paying attention.

If you drive anything and don't pay attention you will kill someone someday.

It is as simple as that. We need to have real driving schools for drivers. I would also ban radio and all cell phone use while driving for people with less than two years experience driving.

If you can miss a big RED cage and a red light then you can miss loud pipes.
