Re: Yeah!

I liked Lee Marvin's character in "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance". If you notice, he played the same role, albeit a drunk one, in "Cat Ballou" as Kid Shaleen.

Marvin was also a Marine who fought in the Korean War. He's of an era that produced actors like Jack Webb, Jimmy Stewart, Eddie Albert (Tarawa landing). Makes the current crop of leading male actors look like real pussies.

Re: Yeah!

Lee Marvin was a marine in the Pacific in WW2, Charles Bronson was in the army in the ETO, Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable was in the 8th AAF,

Leonid Brezhnev was a political officer @ Stalingrad....The new crop of tuffies does pale in comparison

Re: Yeah!

What? You can't picture Brad Pitt throwing himself onto a barbed wire fence so his buddies can run across his back up the beach? You can't picture George Clooney fighting hand to hand with a bayonet?

Mike,

If you aren't already familiar with their fine organization, check out www.surfershealing.org

These folks take autistic kids out on surfboards and get some amazing results from the experience. I have witnessed one of their events in person and it is incredible to watch a kid go from kicking and screaming as he gets on the board to just beaming smiles on the way in!

Re: Yeah!

That would be like Mr. Rogers killing a squad of Japanese Marines with his entrenching tool. Can you say Sgt. Striker? Sure you can...
