I've met him twice. The longest meeting was when Robbie and Evel took delivery of twin CMC (clones) in '98. Here's what's funny about this. The man is a convicted felon. He spent his youth not giving a [email protected] about image.

Marketing wise- Evel has a point but in reality he no longer has to live to that image as he has not been in the public eye for almost a decade.

I say let West get away with it. We found out at the music awards he's a cry-baby looser anyway.

Kanye was wayyy popular even before that video came out.

Yeah, but he's no less a cry baby when he doesn't get his wayyy. Evel takes a beating and keeps on ticking. West gets passed over for a video award and you'd think someone just shot his dog.

Cry baby or not, he is probably one of the greatest entertainers out there, no different from what Evel was/is.

I still don't like that rap $hit.

I'll take a C Note on West not having all that much staying power.

Every music category has its good and bad. You just have to find (listen) till you find something you like and not dis the whole thing as $hit.

That is the funniest thing I have ever heard. But I am blissfully out of touch with alot of the stuff going on right now in the entertainment industry. I am also very closed minded to most of the stuff going on in the entertainment industry because it's my opinion and I can have it if I want to. The stuff is crap At least you call him an entertainer and not a musician.

To say nothing of Mista West's 30 minutes of black-trash fame...let's not be race selective in the identification of what constitutes trash, shall we.

Ol' Evel is hurtin for the cash & will sue anyone... He recently tride to sue the operators of a website that referred to him as a "pimp," showing a picture of him with tow comely young lasses- pimp was meant as a compliment. I think the old man has taken a few too many hits to the noggin with his old-tech bell helmet on.

Technically Evel may have valid suit, but imitation IS a great form of flattery, so lighten up man.

Kanye should have asked for permission of such a blatant rip-off of identity, but in this crazy world of parody (hell SNL and MadTV do it all the time), I fail to understand why people can't take a joke or see the backhanded compliment it is.

Whomever marketed/produced the video's actually to blame for not raising a flag about possible infringement. I'm sure slapping down some benjamins will appease comically iconic Evel just fine.
