Heh heh. When a river bottom was dredged in Vaasa, Finland, they pulled out an old Buick. Although totally corroded, a group of enthusiastics started a restoration job. It was so rusty that after long struggle they tossed the body and ended up utilizing only the roof. Good job they used that. Otherwise they would have restored a Buick out of nothing.

Yeah, you're right about that one... And although many pictures are deleted from a story and we may never get to write about what we see at some of the bike events out there, there are even a few pictures of the W3 on MO! At the Del Mar Mile / Concourse show last October, my eye spotted what you will see in pictures # 71 and 72.

Enjoy... http://www2.motorcycle.com/mo/mcracing/03_Del_Mar_Weekend/

Re: Garson flunks History

You'd be lucky to find many American school kids who know when WWII took place. I'm in my 30's and I'm constantly amazed by even my contemporaries' complete and total ignorance of history. It's pathetic.

At last count I think we're spending something like $750 billion on education. Money well spent?

By the way, the only thing that a Harley and the Manhattan project have in common is that they're both essentially 1940's technology.

(Calm down Rich, you know I love your V-Rod. Lighten up, man.)

I agree about the old wing. It is totally cool! I can’t say much for that sheet metal cover in front of the rear shock – looks tacky but I am sure it wouldn’t take too much to make improvements. Now if you can get some hop up stuff for that flat 4 cyl…
