So I am on my way to class, and the spedo and tach go to zero. The odometer stops counting mileage, the Neutral, the choke, and hazard lights do not work, but the turn indicators and ABS lights do. And the battery light stays illuminated. Also, the starter button no longer works. (had to push start it after class)

The heated grips, and head/tail lights and blinkers all still work.

This is on my '88 K100rs

Ditto, there's a minimum voltage for the instrument pod. The ABS turn signals etc are on a different circuit so they and the fuel pump and injectors will work until the battery is stone dead.

With the engine running place a volt meter across the positive and negitive battery terminals, you should be getting around 13.8 volts back @ around 2k rpm, if so replace the battery, if not either the alternator or regulator is bad
