What a great idea. Having lived in the L A area for many years, I can't begin to count the times that I have been stuck in traffic jams caused by stalled vehicles. Then again that was one of the reasons that I eschewed cars for motorcyles for commuting purposes. VWW

Finally a real use for that bloated pig. Since, at 1300lbs, the entire rig weighs hardly more than a stock Goldwing one could theoretically "work" one's way around the world doing tow jobs when one is running low on cash.

I'm not sure how long the final drive is going to last though. 7000lbs is a lot of mass for the stock thrust surfaces to handle.

That was my thought also. Longevity of the drive system would be seriously tested on this rig.

Interesting idea, but only makes sense in NYC, Chi town, LaLa land, or afew other cities, where there is serious trafic density. I don't think it would really make sense over a standard tow truck most places.

With the price of towing here in the golden state being what it is, it shouldn't take too long to garner enough cash to replace any worn drive line parts. A motorcycle tow truck who'd a thought? I can't wait for the stretched limo, or tour bus Gold wing. VWW

A fine Swedish idea. I doubt it would work as well pulling an Escalade down the 405. All-wheel-drive vehicles generally need to be flat bedded anyway. Might be good for urban repo work.
