As we used to say in the firefighting business, danger never takes a day off. It's important to think about safety every time you get on a bike.. i.e. the article had 3 keys ways to reduce your risk. However, the article curiously leaves out the lack of a mandatory helmet law in Ohio for riders over 25

Hey I don't fear riding I love a good long ride (no pun intended) like this one I did on Saturday Went out for 50 twisty miles last night. I just don't like to commute via bike anymore..Messes up my suit and tie

Riding tips for wuzzies..

I love to ride. But I try to reduce my risk of injury by.

1. Wearing the proper gear. Pants, Jack, Gloves, Boots, and full-face helmet.

2. Getting the proper training. Probably time for a MSF refresher course... I could do a story on it. kpaul does advanced rider training.

3. Riding the proper motorcycle i.e. not a cruiser.

4. Keeping my motorcycle in good running condition.

5. Reading more about safety and riding tips. My favorite tips are in in this series...

6. Keep in good physical shape by getting exercise, eating right, good sex and enough sleep.
