If the VRod had a little more fuel capacity there might be one of those in my garage instead of the Geezer Glide.

If you're going to crank out long days in the saddle, stopping every 100 miles for fuel isn't an option.

I had an odd experience with the Glide during my return from the Sierras.

I was getting really bad fuel injection surging. At first I thought it was because I was riding next to my friend's BMW! Then it started popping and backfiring kinda like your Shovelhead.

At the next gas stop I removed the seat to see if my Revtech DFO had a loose connection. What I found was that the unit (which was velcroed to the frame backbone just below the fuel tank) had slid down due to heat or vibration or both, and was resting right near the battery. I pulled the unit off, cleaned the frame backbone and re-stuck it in its proper place.

The Glide ran perfectly the rest of the way home.

So was it heat from the battery or the magnetic field that was jacking me up? Or we could just blame it on riding in close proximity to a BMW Boxer!

Re: fuel capacity

Ok, you've talked me into it.

Now on the topic of trolling for babes in Santa Maria. Biker events usually aren't very good for babe-trolling. How many hot chicks show up to biker events by themselves? Mix in the retirement community of Santa Maria and you've got yourself one long, lonely night.

It sounds like you had no need for your "capable tool for the task at hand."

What on earth are you talking about?

Has your mental instability reached such a stage that you can't even follow a thread anymore?

I believe the post regarding jammers was from Sean. I only mentioned numbskulls like yourself believe everything they see printed on a webpage which would explain your current link to a propagandist like Micheal Moore.

What a lost little puppy you are, glomming onto a new "hero" every day.

Re: Documentary? LOL

I'm just having a little fun with him. My sister's boyfriend is a lab scientist so he's given me some pointers on rat testing.

Plus I feel like I owe him a little conversation since his aging relatives are responsible for so many of my cool toys.

Re: Bike Sales - Rant?

Actually Harley offers a "short guy" kit for the VRod. The pegs are closer as is the seat. I'm 5-10 and the Vrod fits me perfectly but I can see that someone any shorter than me would have a hard time.

It's interesting that all these wonderful bikes that the press adores don't sell. It's a good thing Harley doesn't take its cues from half the people who post here on what H-D should produce. They'd lose as much money as the Japanese do that way.

Re: Willie G, you listening?

It would have to be more contemporary looking for sure.

I don't know if the Buell would sell any better liquid-cooled. Suzuki isn't selling a whole lot of SV1000s and Ducati sells plenty of air-cooled Monsters.
