Helmet Law Repeal Stats

I'll take this one..... Those of us who choose to wear helmets also make choices about riding comfort as well. I live in Florida where it gets miserably hot and unless you enjoy inserting your head into a sweaty sponge, riding with a full face helmet is sometimes an unattractive option. For me the choice occasionally comes down to either riding with a half helmet or not riding at all. I weigh the risks and make my choice willingly. It may only happen 10 times a year but I do wear a half helmet. I'd rather do that than not ride at all.



I'm pretty sure that if I'd read your smart-ass comment about about faces getting hard the wit alone would have caused me to re-think my entire position on the matter however.

I'm 100% for use of helmets and 100% against a law to mandate it. That being said I actually got into a discussion once woth a woman who honestly believed helmets did more harm than good. Her evidence was that if your head hit the ground hard with a helmet on the impact would break your neck and she certainly didn't want a broken neck.

When she broke into that line of logic I decided it was time to exit the argument.
