I now have on my shelf two badly beaten up Arai helmets. I have them where I can plainly see them every time I head towards my bike. Both lids show significant damage to the cheek area and chin bar. If I had been wearing a half helmet I would have spent several months eating through a straw, both times. If I hadn't been wearing a helmet at all???? I’m all for freedom of choice, but please people, choose to wear a helmet.

You missed one way the FDA can screw up. They can relabel a useful essential amino acid as a drug. Example; tryptophan was taken off the market days before prozac was released. For many people tryptophan is more effective and it is safer in all cases.
