Honda already has the deck stacked, so they don't need to bring in all of their big guns. Kawasaki has pulled out, and Yamaha and Suzuki haven't updated their bikes and are only using local Japanese riders for the race. They don't have any serious world class talent to put on those bikes anyway, with the possible exception of Ryo. Honda has 4 teams running, and the serious competition only has 2 in total.

Should be a good race as usual. Looks like Rossi is getting a holiday this time and Edwards is on standby. Honda must have confidence the other guys can do it for them.
