What a coincidence. When I got home today the August issue of Sport Rider was in my mailbox. There on page 106 was a thoughtful article on scrubbing-in tires. Turns out that there's more going on here than most of us thought (I still like the Simple Green method).

Reminds me of an old trick for selling a pre-owned bike. Marinate the seat in Armorall so when the prospective buyer takes it out for a test drive he has to hold on tight to keep from sliding off the back because of the massive acceleration. Heh, heh, heh
