Re: Brrrrr

Nah, they're probably just figuring out how they can surrender to it.

Oh, wait, sorry. They're not Peugeots. Italians (from Italy) are mostly concerned about wine, food and summer holiday.

I'd only worry if they were built in Brooklyn.

Re: The real misery index...

How did Jimmy Carter get to be a leading voice of the Democratic party? If I were them, I'd tell the old fool to go into hiding. I guess they think that the public, especially the younger voters, wasn't alive, is too ignorant to remember or don't want to remember what a fantastic disaster his presidency was. I was only a little kid but I remember it too well.

Remember BillyBeer?

Re: Posished Frame

The [Kerry] campaign also released a "middle class misery index," calculated for Bush's and previous administration, and found a 13-point dip — from 112 to 99 — between 2000 and 2003. A higher score means families are better off.

Key words: "The campaign also released a..."

Re: Name calling is not listening

I remember the time I went atomic apeshiat like this because I couldn't stand KP anymore. Man, that felt good. It's kind of nice to have it out of your system for awhile. Just know that arguing with KP is like pizzin' in a volcano.

Re: GPTB dues

You gotta stop, bud. I've said it before, KP is Karl Rove's automated trollbot. It posts MoveOn & CodePink talking points at random into unrelated forums, and pisses off people who previously didn't really care into voting republican. What else but a computer could behave with this rifle-bolt precision level of retardation?

1) I'm not voting for Bush. Way to liberal for me.

2) I didn't call you any names. I said the artical was idiocy. I also said you don't have the vocabulary to debate with me on this issue.

3) Brush up on your reading comprehension

Re: The real misery index...

The Bush Campaign's strategy on taxes is to convince America that John Kerry wants to raise them. Right now **** Cheney is pushing an absurd distortion that John Kerry wants to raise taxes by $1.7 trillion dollars.

In fact, John Kerry wants to lower taxes for 98% of Americans while seeking fiscal discipline by repealing the budget-busting tax cuts Bush gave to the richest Americans making over $200,000 a year.

There more truth where that came from.

omes have declined by $1,462 under President Bush.

In the last year the middle class has experienced near-record jumps in the cost of healthcare, college tuition, and gas:

College tuition up 13 percent -- the largest increase on record

Health premiums up 11 percent -- the largest increase since 1977

Gas prices have risen by 15 percent, causing the average family to spend $300 more per year -- the second largest increase since 1980

I have also found several of these on eBay; Here are some things to look for:

1. The price is too good to be true

2. The information is vague about where the bike is

3. The seller is not in the same location as the bike, and is usually registered in a another country

4. The seller has a history, but it is usually a bunch of small, unrelated stuff (developing a history on cheap items in preparation for the scam, or stealing someone’s history?; not sure on this one)

5. The seller will not accept escrow payments, etc. and wants a lot up front money.

6. The seller insists on wire transfer (something eBay cautions against – the ebay guidelines on this topic are very good, by the way)

7. The seller frequently offers free shipping anywhere (on a bike? Get real).

In general, real bikes on eBay can be had for good deals at times, but not great deals. A lot of people are looking at them and will bid them up. I have bought two bikes on eBay, and it worked out well, but again, the deals were merely good, not great.

Re: Resale

The same complaint can be made against the cruiser set, too. Most of the "customizing" done to these bikes is in the form of bolt-on chromed doo-dads and extra fringe. In the end, you get a bunch of overdone cookie-cutter cruisers waddling down the road looking like Siegfried & Roy's christmas tree. Not exactly value-added in my book.

[*]9/11 Bush is to blame, He failed to heed the warning of the now famous

August sercurity memo

[*]Bush's tax cuts were targeted to the wrong group the rich who don't spend most of their income. It created the largest budget deficit in history. Which will continue hurt the economy for a decade. Bush along with the Republican Congress is in charge of fiscal policy it his fault period. The economy is not a force of nature it is man made and is controlled by fiscal (government spending) and monetary policy (money supply, Greenspan)

[*]Bush is to blame for Iraq. Sadam was no threat to us or his hostile neighbors (Turkey, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Syria). He was contained by two no fly zones and under constant survellience. He had no WMDs and no 9/11 terrorists were from Iraq. Bin Laden was a known enemy of Sadams.

I was recently perusing recycler.com and came across a low milage v-rod for 7,500. Immediately I thought to myself this bike is stolen or non-existent. ...But I was intrigued so I began email communiction. The seller sent me several beautiful pictures and the VIN which seems to be valid, but wouldn't immediately answer what city he was in. Guess what else. It turns out:

The seller claims to be in a foriegn country(England)

Shipping from said country is included in the price(please)

I am to send a Western Union money order.

This is for sure a scam, but I'm intrigued so I'm going to continue to try and flush him out. I think next will request a odd picture (like him on the bike with today's copy of the gaurdian)

Be Aware !

Just want to inform you of 2 TOTAL RIPOFFS. The first is 5starsshopping, and the 2nd is cetbuy.com. I got burned by attempting to buy a motorcycle from 5starsshopping. After being led down the rosy path they just disappeared. Now this cetbuy.com has just come up with an almost identical add. Be very aware.

Guess I was lucky. Saw my K bike in Ebay. Rolling down the road with my computer in wireless mode I pinched her for $3k with less than 1 minute to spare. Flew into Tampa 3 days later. Seller picked me up and took me to his home in St Pete at 8pm and by 10pm I was riding it back to ATL.
