If the IIHS can find a causal (albeit weak) justification to condemn a class of vehicles as "unsafe" then naturally the rates to insure said vehicles can be raised. They are, after all, unsafe vehicles. Unsafe vehicles are more expensive to insure, as they are...unsafe.

You all need to stop resisting and put the collars on. They only chafe for the first few months.

This project is better for everyone. I understand that now.

The consumer can get more affordable insurance.
The insurer can better protect the bottom line.
The government can monitor with greater ease and self-reporting devices mean enforcement agencies can re-task to greater enforcement...efficiencies?
