Hello, what is your preference?I have a 2011 Kawasaki KLR 650 with 25K miles on the odometer, and I'd like to swap it for a lighter thumper, preferably a 400cc or 450cc bike that is also street legal. My bike is in good shape and has plenty of life left, I just need a lighter bike for some of the trails and sandy desert areas near my home, which is near Alamogordo, NM. A lighter thumper of comparable vintage is fine, as long as it's in good shape. Not looking to throw down cash in this deal, I'd much rather do a straight swap. Willing to consider 250cc, 350cc, 500cc & even 600cc bikes, and everything in between, as far as displacement goes. I've had a good time riding this KLR for the past year, but I really want something lighter, and maybe there's a hand out there who wants to swap his lighter bike for something heavier. Go ahead and PM me if you're interested in such a trade. Here are some pics of my modified KLR, it's 25-30 lbs. lighter than the average KLR 650. Dunlop D606 knobbies, new front tire and a rear tire with life left in it. Larger 6.6-gallon tank, but I still have the original tank and some other parts. This is a good trading opportunity for a rider looking to go larger, while I'm looking to go a bit smaller & lighter... I might also consider a straight sale for those who have no bike to swap, or who don't wanna swap. Cheers!

P.S. That's the old Tusk tire on front in these pics, the new Dunlop D606 matches the rear tire...
