I just read where somebody died cheerleading and now there is a call for 'safety standards'. It never ends. Helmets and full safety gear for cheerleaders anyone?? What a joke. Welcome to The United States of Chickenshyt.

The cowards rule society now. Just look at the enthusiasm that people have for the three nanny-statists that are running for Prez. There has never been such an obvious set of crooks in politics. Each promising a trillion dollars in new spending, free health care, all the rest of the panoply of "free" handouts. It's over dude. Just enjoy what freedom we have left until the republicrats take it all.

Two of my favorite quotes describe modern western civilization quite well:

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies, The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. -CS Lewis

'There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them.' Despite the billions spent on an individual, 'he can be lifted transiently but always slips back again.' Thus, the New Deal had been 'the most stupendous digenetic enterprise ever undertaken by man.... We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time. The effects of that doctrine are bound to be disastrous soon or late.' HL Mencken

I've read that C.S. Lewis quote before, that is so true. God deliever us from those who want to save us from ourselves.
It's just like when they got rid of the "open" class (500cc) OH MY! WE DON'T WANT OUR CHILDREN HURT RIDING THOSE BIG FAST DIRT BIKES SO LET'S OUTLAW THE CLASS AND GET EVERYONE ON 150CC FOUR STROKES AND RUN THEM ON A TINY INDOOR TRACK WHERE THEY CAN ONLY REACH A TOP SPEED OF 35 MPH OR SO.."

A slippery slope indeed.
I was wondering what happened. I didn't pay much attention to MX for a few years and was wondering what happened to the 500's. Typical pansy-ass bullsh*t

If it can't Kill you - IT'S NOT A "SPORT"!

Motorsports, Mountain-Climbing, and Sailing are "Sports" - all others are just games...........
