Going to the races
This year I was lucky enough to be sent to Japan on business, at just the right time:
- On April 7th I went to Suzuka to watch Rossi win the first MotoGP 4-stroke. Though I had horrible seats and only really saw the end of the front straight/hairpin into the esses. That and the incessant rain.
- On April 20th I caught the World SBK rounds at Sugo, and saw Colin Edwards 1-2 it despite Tamada. Too bad it wasn't a track better suited for 4-cylinders, as Eric Bostrom was the wildcard I rooted for... Paddock/Pit-walk pass this time, definitely worth the money.
Two venues down...
Of note: Though it was cold and raining, there were tons of spectators at the Suzuka GP, while Sugo's grandstand was barren. Thank god for European attendance, keeping SBK strong!
